Law and politics

While the Constitution recognises in Article 370 the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, the Central Government's policies since 1953 have totally undermined its autonomy. Senior lawyer and political analyst A.G. NOORANI discusses both aspects and suggests a way out of the mess.

"I say with all respect to our Constitution that it just does not matter what your Constitution says; if the people of Kashmir do not want it, it will not go there. Because what is the alternative? The alternative is compulsion and coercion..."
"We have fought the good fight about Kashmir on the field of battle... (and) ...in many a chancellery of the world and in the United Nations, but, above all, we have fought this fight in the hearts and minds of men and women of that State of Jammu and Kashmir. Because, ultimately - I say this with all deference to this Parliament - the decision will be made in the hearts and minds of the men and women of Kashmir; neither in this Parliament, nor in the United Nations nor by anybody else," Jawaharlal N ehru said in the Lok Sabha on June 26 and August 7, 1952.
Selected works of Jawaharlal Nehru, Vol. 18, p. 418 and
vol. 19 pp. 295-6, respectively.

"From 1953 to 1975, Chief Ministers of that State had been nominees of Delhi. Their appointment to that post was legitimised by the holding of farcical and totally rigged elections in which the Congress party led by Delhi's nominee was elected by huge majorities."

- This authoritative description of a blot on our record which most overlook was written by B. K. Nehru, who was Governor of Kashmir from 1981 to 1984, in his memoirs published in 1997 (Nice Guys Finish Second; pp. 614-5).

THOSE who cavil at Article 370 of the Indian Constitution and the "special status" of Kashmir constitutionally ought to remember the "special" treatment meted out to itpolitically. Which other State has been subjected to such debasement an d humiliation? And, whywas this done? It was because New Delhi had second thoughts on Article 370. It could not be abrogated legally. It was reduced to a husk through political fraud and constitutional abuse. The current debate is much more than about restoration of Article 370 by erasing the distortions. It is about redressing a moral wrong.
The United Front government's minimum programme, published on June 5, 1996, said "respecting Article 370 of the Constitution as well as the wishes of the people, the problems of Jammu and Kashmir will be resolved through giving the people of that State t he maximum degree of autonomy."

Constitutional abuse accompanied political fraud. Article 370 was intended to guarantee Kashmir's autonomy. On December 4, 1964, Union Home Minister G. L. Nanda said it would be used to serve as "a tunnel (sic.) in the wall" in order to increase the Cent re's power.

The State was put in a status inferior to that of other States. One illustration suffices to demonstrate that. Parliament had to amend the Constitution fourtimes, by means of the 59th, 64th, 67th and 68th Constitution Amendments, to extend the President's Rule imposed in Punjab on May 11, 1987. For the State of Jammu and Kashmir the same result was accomplished, from 1990 to 1996, by mere executive orders under Article 370.

Another gross case illustrates the capacity for abuse. On July 30, 1986, the President made an order under Article 370, extending to Kashmir Article 249 of the Constitution in order to empower Parliament to legislate even on a matter in the State List on the strength of a Rajya Sabha resolution. "Concurrence" to this was given by the Centre's own appointee, Governor Jagmohan. G.A. Lone, a former Secretary, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, to the State Government described in Kashmir Times (April 20 , 1995) how the "manipulation" was done "in a single day" against the Law Secretary's advice and "in the absence of a Council of Ministers."

The Nehru-Abdullah Agreement in July 1952 ("the Delhi Agreement") confirmed that "the residuary powers of legislation" (on matters not mentioned in the State List or the Concurrent List), which Article 248 and Entry 97 (Union List) confer on the Union, w ill not apply to Kashmir. The order of 1986 purported to apply to the State Article 249, which empowers Parliament to legislate even on a matter in the State List if a Rajya Sabha resolution so authorises it by a two-thirds vote. But it so amended Article 249 in its application to Kashmir as in effect to apply Article 248 instead - "any matter specified in the resolution, being a matter which is not enumerated in the Union List or in the Concurrent List."

The Union thus acquired the power to legislate not only on all matters in the State List, but others not mentioned in the Union List or the Concurrent List - the residuary power. In relation to other States, an amendment to the Constitution would require a two-thirds vote by both Houses of Parliament plus ratification by the States (Article 368). For Kashmir, executive orders have sufficed since 1953 and can continue till Doomsday. "Nowhere else, as far as I can see, is there any provision author ising the executive government to make amendments in the Constitution," President Rajendra Prasad pointed out to Prime Minister Nehru on September 6, 1952. Nowhere else, in the world, indeed. Is this the state of things we wish to perpetuate? Uniquely Ka shmir negotiated the terms of its membership of the Union for five months. Article 370 was adopted by the Constituent Assembly as a result of those parleys.

YET, all hell broke loose when the State Assembly adopted, on June 26, a resolution recording its acceptance of the report of the State Autonomy Committee (the Report) and asked "the Union Government and the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to take positi ve and effective steps for the implementation of the same." On July 4, the Union Cabinet said that the resolution was "unacceptable... would set the clock back and reverse the natural process of harmonising the aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmi r with the integrity of the State" - a patent falsehood, as everyone knows.

The State's Law Minister, P.L. Handoo, said on June 26 that the people "want nothing more than what they had in 1953." Overworked metaphors (about the clock or the waters of the Jhelum which flowed since) do not answer two crucial questions: Can lapse of time sanctify patent constitutional abuse? Can it supply legislative competence? If Parliament has legislated over the States on a matter on which it had no power to legislate, under the Constitution, it would be a nullity. Especially if the State's people have been protesting meanwhile and their voice was stifled through rigged elections.

Disapproval of Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah's opportunist politics should not blind one to the constitutional issues. The State's Finance Minister, Abdul Rahim Rather, a moving spirit behind the Report, resents suggestions of political timing. The repo rt was placed before the Assembly on April 13, 1999. The State Cabinet endorsed its recommendations and decided last April to convene a special session of the Assembly to discuss it. The Government of India was "once again requested to set up a ministeri al committee in order to initiate a dialogue on the report."

It provides a comprehensive survey of constitutional developments, which is useful in itself for its documentation. It lists 42 orders under Article 370 and gives the following opinion: "Not all these orders can be objected to. For instance, none can obj ect to provisions for direct elections to Parliament in 1966... It is the principle that matters. Constitutional limits are there to be respected, not violated."

The ruler of Jammu and Kashmir acceded to India by an Instrument of Accession on October 26, 1947 in respect of only three subjects - defence, foreign affairs and communications. A schedule listed precisely 16 topics under these heads plus four others (e lections to Union legislature and the like).

Clause 5 said that the Instrument could not be altered without the State's consent. Clause 7 read: "Nothing in this Instrument shall be deemed to commit me in any way to acceptance of any future Constitution of India or fetter my discretion to enter into arrangements with the Government of India under any such future Constitution." Kashmir was then governed internally by its own Constitution of 1939.

The Maharaja made an Order on October 30, 1947 appointing Sheikh Abdullah the Head of the Emergency Administration, replacing it, on March 5, 1948, with an Interim Government with the Sheikh as Prime Minister. It was enjoined to convene a National Assembly "to frame a Constitution" for the State.

Negotiations were held on May 15 and 16, 1949 at Vallabhbhai Patel's residence in New Delhi on Kashmir's future set-up. Nehru and Abdullah were present. Foremost among the topics were "the framing of a Constitution for the State" and "the subjects in res pect of which the State should accede to the Union of India." On the first, Nehru recorded in a letter to the Sheikh (on May 18) that both Patel and he agreed that it was a matter for the State's Constituent Assembly. "In regard to (ii) the Jammu and Kas hmir State now stands acceded to the Indian Union in respect of three subjects; namely, foreign affairs, defence and communications. It will be for the Constituent Assembly of the State when convened, to determine in respect of which other subjects the State may accede" (emphasis added, throughout).

Article 370 embodies this basic principle which was reiterated throughout (S.W.J.N. Vol. 11; p. 12).

On June 16, 1949, Sheikh Abdullah, Mirza Mammad Afzal Beg, Maulana Mohammed Saeed Masoodi and Moti Ram Bagda joined the Constituent Assembly of India. Negotiations began in earnest on Article 370 (Article 306. A in the draft). N. Gopalaswamy Ayyangar tri ed to reconcile the differences between Patel and Abdullah. A text, agreed on October 16, was moved in the Constituent Assembly the next day, unilaterally altered by Ayyangar. "A trivial change," as he admitted in a letter to the Sheikh on October 18. Pa tel confirmed it to Nehru on November 3 on his return from the United States. Beg had withdrawn his amendment after the accord. Abdullah and he were in the lobby, and rushed to the House when they learnt of the change. In its original form the draft woul d have made the Sheikh's ouster in 1953 impossible.

Foreign Direct Investment in India

India is the largest democracy and is fourth largest economy (in terms of purchasing power parity) in the world. India with its consistent growth performance and abundant high-skilled manpower provides enormous opportunity for investment, both domestic and foreign. Investment in India can be made both by non-resident as well as resident Indian entities. Any non-resident investing in an Indian company is Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
The Government embarked upon major economic reforms since mid-1991 with a view to integrate with the world economy, and to emerge as a significant player in the globalization process. Reforms undertaken include decontrol of industries from the stringent regulatory process; simplification of investment procedures, promotion of foreign direct investment (FDI), liberalisation of exchange control, rationalization of taxes and public sector divestment. The FDI policy was liberalized progressively through review of the policy on an ongoing basis and allowing FDI in more industries under the automatic route.
A number of studies in the recent past have highlighted on growing attractiveness of India as an investment destination. According to UNCTAD’s World Investment Report 2007, India is the second most attractive investment destination for FDI for 2007-09.
India has one of the most liberal and transparent policies on FDI among the emerging economies. FDI up to 100 percent is allowed under automatic route in all activities and sectors except few sectors like manufacturing of cigar and cigarettes of tobacco, electronic aerospace and defense equipments, etc.
FDI policy is reviewed on continuous basis and changes in sectoral polices / sectoral equity cap are notified through press notes by the Secretariat for Industrial Assistance (SIA) , Department of Industrial policy and promotion (DIIP). FDI policy is also notified by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) under Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) 1991.
FDI in sectors /activities to the extent permitted under automatic route does not require any prior approval either by the Government or Reserve Bank of India. The investor is only required to notify the Concerned Regional office of RBI within 30 days of receipt of inward remittances and file the required documents with that office within 30 days of issue of shares to foreign investors.
The Government has decided to allow FDI up to 51 percent; with prior Government approval, in retail ‘single brand products’. This is inter-alia aimed at attracting investment in production and marketing, improving the availability of such goods for the consumers, encouraging increased sourcing of goods from India, and enhancing competitiveness of Indian enterprise through access to global designs, technology and management practices.
The Government has put in place a liberal foreign technology transfer policy as well. At present, foreign technology collaboration involving payment of lump sum amount of up to US$2 million and/or royalty at the rate of 5 percent on domestic sales and 8 percent on exports are allowed under the automatic route. There are no limits on the duration of royalty payments. In addition, the current policy also allows payment of royalty up to 2% on exports and 1% on domestic sales under the automatic route for use of trademark and brand names of the foreign collaborator without technology transfer. Proposals involving royalty payments beyond the limits under the automatic route are considered for Government approval through the Project Approval Board (PAB).
The Government has set guidelines for transfer of ownership or control of Indian companies in sectors with caps from resident Indian citizens to non-resident entities.

Congress ki Janamkundali

Founded in 1885 by members of the occultistmovement Theosophical Society—Allan Octavian Hume, Dadabhai Naoroji, Dinshaw Wacha, Womesh Chandra Bonnerjee, Surendranath Banerjee, Monomohun Ghose,Mahadev Govind Ranade and William Wedderburn—the Indian National Congress became the leader of the Indian Independence Movement, with over 15 million members and over 70 million participants in its struggle against British rule in India. Afterindependence in 1947, it became the nation's dominant political party, led by the Nehru-Gandhi family for the most part; major challenges for party leadership have only recently formed.
In the 2009 general elections, the Congress emerged as the single largest party in the Lok Sabha, with 205 of its candidates getting elected to the 543-member house. Consequently it, along with a coalition of allies called the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), was able to gain a majority and form the government.

The history of the Indian National Congress falls into two distinct eras:
  • The pre-independence era, when the party was at the forefront of the struggle for independence and was instrumental in the whole of India;
  • The post-independence era, when the party has enjoyed a prominent place in Indian politics, ruling the country for 48 of the 60 years since independence in 1947.
In the pre-independence era, the Congress was divided in two groups, moderate and activist. The moderates were more educated and wanted to win people's faith to lead the nation to independence without bloodshed; the activists however wanted to follow a revolutionary path and make it a militant organization

the congress party was formed under the guidance of mahatma Gandhi before independence and with a motive to give the country its freedom.. Gandhi as we all know followed the policy of non violence but many members in his party weren't like Gandhi...
Bhagad Singh had charged a revolt with violence against the British government and knew that he could get India its freedom this way keeping all our countries assets with us and removing these Britishers but because of the mantries of Gandhi , Gandhi was forced to sign a treaty in which lead to the death warrant of the greatest ever Indian fighter Bhagad Singh.. after the death of Bhagad Singh his followers told Gandhi that even if tomorrow he goes the world will ask him why for his action... his action lead to violence and a great loss to the entire country... Today all of us want to ask this question that why did u let Bhagad Singh die and what mistake did he do...
fighting for the country to retain its pride, power and assets isn't a fault.. because of the non violent policy of Gandhi we had to face a lot many losses like the split of India and Pakistan which till today hasn't been solved, the split of Nepal, Bangladesh , tibet from the Indian land, the assets like our antiques, money, assets, gold etc were all taken by the Britishers... when the Britishers realized that now nothing of their interest was actually left here they left the country fooling the people of the nation once again....
after independence gandhi told nehru to dissolve the congress party as its motive had been fullfilled but because of political ambitions nehru rejected his order  and furthur the politics in their own party lead nathu ram to kill gandhi and get nehru to pwer... when nehru and gandhi party joined came the biggest terror which india saw in the form of Idiira  gandhi who had done the same like the daughter in law sonia is doing... we are all well aware about sonia, rajeev and sanjay gandhi...
soon in my next blog a real discription relating to facts about indira gandhi will be published...

Narendra Modi - The perfect politician

since the time of 2001 elections held in the month of October when Narendra Bhai Modi had come into power in Gujarat, the entire face of Gujarat had started to experience its first positive change...

Narendra Damodardas Modi was born in an other backward class (OBC) middle-class family at Vadnagar, he was the third of six children born to Damodardas Mulchand Modi and his wife Heeraben. He has been a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS) since childhood, having an interest in politics since adolescence. He holds a master's degree in political science. In 1998, he was chosen by L. K. Advani, the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), to direct the election campaign in Gujarat and H.P .
During the Indo-Pak war in the mid sixties, even as a young boy, he volunteered to serve the soldiers in transit at railway stations. As a young man, he joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, a student organisation and was involved in the anti-corruption Nav Nirmāṇ ("Reconstruction") Movement. After working as a full-time organiser for the organisation, he was later nominated as its representative in the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Modi was a pracharak (campaigner) in the RSS during his university years. He took up the challenging task of energising the party cadres in right earnest. In partnership with Shankersinh Vaghela, Modi set about creating a strong cadre base in Gujarat. In the initial period, Vaghela was seen as a mass leader, while Modi was recognised as a master strategist.
The party started gaining political mileage and formed a coalition government at the centre in April 1990. This partnership fell apart within a few months, but the BJP came to power with a two-thirds majority on its own in Gujarat in 1995. During this period, Modi was entrusted with the responsibility of organising two crucial national events, the Somnath to Ayodhya Rath Yatra (a political rally through India on a converted Toyota van) of L.K. Advani and a similar march from Kanyakumari (the southernmost part of mainland India, southernmost point of India being Indira point of Andaman and Nicobar islands) to Kashmir in the North. After the exit of Shankarsingh Vaghela from the BJP, Keshubhai Patel was made Chief Minister while Narendra Modi was sent to New Delhi as a General Secretary of the Party.
In 1995, Modi was appointed the National Secretary of the party and given the charge of five major states in India. In 1998, he was promoted as the General Secretary (Organization), a post he held until October 2001. In 2001, Narendra Modi was chosen by the party to be the Chief Minister of Gujarat after the removal of chief minister Keshubhai Patel.

Modi is known for leading a frugal lifestyle. He has a personal staff of just three. He is known to be a workaholic Chief Minister and an introvert. He ordered the demolition of many Hindu temples that were built without proper government sanction which earned him the ire of VHP. He is a crowd puller as a speaker. He has been trying to project himself as a political heir of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He does this by comparing Sardar Patel to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Modi sometimes wears business suits and is improving his command over the English language.

Narendra Modi, announced a comprehensive ban on gutka, which causes cancer. It has come into effect from September 11, 2012.
Modi said in his 66th Independence Day speech,

"I have to save the youths of Gujarat from the dreaded evil of cancer and that's why a decision to impose a complete ban on gutka has been taken."
The mission has been named Gutka Mukti Abhiyan.

On 18 July 2006 Modi delivered a speech criticising Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh "for his reluctance to revive anti-terror legislations" like the Prevention of Terrorism Act. He asked the Centre to empower states to invoke tougher laws in the wake of the blasts in Mumbai. Quoting Modi:
"Terrorism is worse than a war. A terrorist has no rules. A terrorist decides when, how, where and whom to kill. India has lost more people in terror attacks than in its wars."

Narendra Modi criticised this muzzling of the freedom of press by saying :

" Journalists on Twitter who spoke against Congress, were blocked. Here they banned a TV channel. Their crime is that they exposed cracks in the ghar nu ghar (own your home) scheme of the Congress. Yet this party talks about democracy  "

Aseem - A real patriot

Aseem Trivedi (born 17 February 1987) is a controversial Indian political cartoonist and activist, best known for his anti corruption campaign Cartoons Against Corruption. He is a founder member of Save Your Voice, a movement against internet censorship in India.
In 2011, a nation wide anti corruption movement India Against Corruption gathered pace in the leadership of a veteran Gandhian Anna Hazare demanding Jan Lokpal Bill. Aseem Trivedi joined the crusade and started a cartoon based campaign, Cartoons Against Corruption to support the movement with his art. He launched a website www.cartoonsagainstcorruption.com consisting of his sharp anti corruption cartoons targeting corrupt system and the politicos. He displayed his cartoons in the MMRDA ground, Mumbai during the hunger strike of Anna Hazare.
and i am sure this was the main reason why they caught him.. the explanation of the government saying that he drew the national emblem replacing the lions with wolfs with blood... a question the the fellow congress men that in a democratic country a person cant even draw the truth and the pain that he and the common man is going through each day because of the government and its unnecessary policies and the blind attitude towards the wounds of each and every common man...
as per the news :
Award-winning political cartoonist and anti-corruption and Internet freedom crusader Aseem Trivedi (25) was remanded in police custody till September 16 by a holiday court in Bandra on Sunday. He was arrested on Saturday night on charges of sedition, cyber crime, and insulting the national flag, Parliament and the Constitution through his work. The police lodged an FIR against Mr. Trivedi on the basis of a complaint by social activist and law student Amit Arvind Katarnaware.
i am sure that a law student but a congress follower can only do such kind of a kiddish act by arresting and trying to defame MR.Aseem....

Region, religion and re – partition of India in 21st Century CONGRESS RAJ.

INDIA or should I suggest that you use the connotation Hindustan or simply go by the word Bharat, a word which has come to denote the most fictional aspect of our constitution – Secularism!! Indira Gandhi surely possessed a shrewd strategy to make people believe that she was indeed a secular and “highly” democratic leader, not that she wasn’t but it cannot be denied that her efforts to consummate the masses in one single identity were half hearted and perhaps never on her agendas catalogue. Most modern Indians believe that religion has no role to play today; they also wrongly perceive that region and religion are two different concepts. Yes, dictionarising can be fatal in Indian context, for if they have even visited the villages of Indian states, still living under the brooding sky of petty communal politics and land love (or region love) they wouldn’t believe so. “Angrez Bharat chodd Gaye aur Antonio Ko dahej Mei de gaye…..” most people aversive to Sonia Gandhi seem to echo this today, but the buck only starts here.

BJP, at presently and rather ironically being considered a possible alternative and not “the alternative” to congress has long been indicted of playing communal politics and this has played in favor of congress for people consider it to be only corrupt but not communal. But, it is an accepted fact in Indian political intelligentsia that politics without religion and now region is futile. People in India will always be motivated to vote through religion and region, not other pressing factors like development and heralding the new era of change and bringing in TITAN LEADERS AND NOT PYGMIES FOR LEADERS.

Thus, one can safely conclude that congress is as much communal as other parties because it is as much ambitious as others are, and to win the dirty game, it has to play dirty. One has to praise congress for playing so stealthily and cautiously. Introducing communal quotas, passing drafts of bills and not the bills themselves, controlling media, appointing a “Sikh” candidate on the highest post, getting a true statesman like Pranab Mukherjee out of the way by appointing him the President, reshuffling the cabinet to appoint Chidambaram the Finance minister to put him once again the in charge of fiscal embezzlement department, not to forget that he is a Karalee, keeping mum on anti peace comments of Raj Thackeray, not even raising a finger when movies like My Name Is Khan are banned, or more so giving out impotent judgments where instead of converting a disputed religious land into a charitable ground or workplace, orders it to be unfairly divided among the contesting parties. The buck has just come half the way.

The issue of growing naxalism is now something a part of the Indian society for youngsters…..SHAMEFULLY indeed! The ruling government (congress) has managed to astray all sense by converting it into a matter of regional politics, swaying the minds to think that the ruling parties in the disturbed areas are responsible. It is however partially true. The basic issue remains that of unemployment and dire abject poverty, the goonda Raj of the police, because obviously the government doesn’t care, the three tax system the poor people have to follow i.e. paying the government, the naxals to protect and the police to keep their daughters from being raped, the problem is not of the region or the religion, it is of bringing development and peace for everyone and not just few privileged classes…it is as simple as that and as difficult as it can be made.

The moment “akalis or akhileshs” win, the congress is quick to react. The manifestos defame the rival parties; make hollow promises and developmental projects only show their honorable selves in the fourth or third years. The aam aadmi’s intellect to choose a good leader is played with by instantly reducing the prices of commodities just 6 to 5 months prior to elections, not to mention that elections n India are a complete show of money, mafia and muscle. So where does the hairy root of all these problems lie????

It lies in us!! Yes, not so difficult to comprehend, and no, I don’t refer to your indispensable support to Anna Hazare. We the youngsters, the very soul of the nation, have to rise up against the evil. We have to look up from our Black Berry’s screens and look deeply in the present scenario and segregate fact from fiction. Rise above politics aiming to divide us into pro reservation and anti reservation (another congress gambit), my state your state, my Gujarat (read dharma) and your Assam (read Bangladesh), we have to come together as Indians, any other identity will have to be forfeited to love for mankind which Gandhi spoke of and lived and died for. Else, we are doomed. Change is knocking, desperately pushing on the doors of freedom where the head can be held high indeed, where there is no fear because I know that if a policeman keeps a wrong eye on my girl my community will support me, even if I voted for a congress or bjpian leader, that if today an IAS officer decides to stand against corruption, our support to him will not be limited to facebook shares and updates but will be an active one ….a true picture of shakti pradarshan. Let the dogs beware…the tigers (read Lala Lajpat Rai) and the lions (read Bhagat Singh) are back in the jungle!!!

Jai Bharat, jai hind!!

Student politics

We all know that student politics has taken a wide spread role in our lives now and at or near the time of elections all we get to hear is nothing but incidences about fights each day...
The politicians are the ones who have spoilt the purity and the fun of student politics ... When every party got the back of a political party they changed their behaviour and agenda ... Earlier votes were given to the deserving party
Now the votes are bought by grieving bottles, makeing the canteen free... Blackmailing and various other ways... The question arises are these supposed to be the future of our country ? Do we expect such a pathetic response from people whom we see as our representatives ?
No we need a better and a somle class of people who actually help us by providing is with information and other useful things being done for us and not by buying the votes by distributing cash or cash worth...
it is of no use of haveing such kind of college elections if we've to be treated this way... Rather if you want elections then the assurance of responsible leaders ... Whi have the minds of not to indulge in stupid fights for no good reason and the power of working for the students ....
We hope that either our leaders mature or the politicians forcefully make them matured ....

Washington's report on PM

Recently our prime minister had been attacked twice by the foreign media ...
The first incidence was when the cover page of the time magazine showed Dr. Manmohan Singh's photo with a caption "the underachiver" then the next was in a news paper of Washington which again had out India's image down with the prime minister being called an underachiver once again ...
This is true till some extent ... We all know that Dr. Manmohan Singh had given a very marvellous policy which we know as the new economic policy but now it seems that after the congress has come into power Mr. Singh forgot the way to development of the country and started to travel the other way... He is now only acting as a puppet for the congress men (fools) Who are very busy in just filling up their pockets and emptying
The treasury of the country .... Today Mr. Singh doesn't come and speak and prefers to stay silence as he believes that actions are louder than words and this is why the world saw his profess report and gave a direct action to him.... He also has another reason that he has now become the puppet of Mrs Sonia Gandhi and after seeing her bad report he might have decided to just remain silence to avoid their critics ....
I wish Dr. Singh was as brave as narendra modi the corruption level wouldn't b that much and nor would the price hikes have had occered... It is this silence because of which we all are having to pay a handsome amount from our pockets in some or the other form each time ....
The biggest thing which the congress is now busy in is just responding to its critics .. recently a letter has been issued by the pm's office to protect his little left over image which was :

Dear Simon,

We do not complain about criticism of the government which is a journalist's right. But I am writing this letter for pointing out unethical and unprofessional conduct at your part.

I would like to put on record my complaint about your article which was published today on many counts:

- Despite all lines of conversations open, you never got in touch with us for our side of the story though you regularly talk to me about information from the PMO. This story thus becomes totally one sided.

- You have been telling the media here in India that your request for an interview was declined though the mail below says clearly that the interview was declined "till the Monsoon Session" of the Parliament which gets over in two days.

- When I rang you up to point this out, you said sorry twice though you tell the media here that you never apologised.

- Your website where we could have posted a reply is still not working, 11 hours after you said sorry the third time for its inaccessibility.

- The former Media Adviser to the PM Dr Sanjaya Baru has complained that you "rehashed and used" an 8 month old quote from an Indian Magazine.

We expected better from the correspondent of the Washington Post for fair and unbiased reporting.

Without going into your one sided assessment of the Prime Minister's performance, as comment is free in journalism, I hope you will carry this communication in full in your paper and your website so your readers can judge for themselves what is the truth.

Sincerely Pankaj Pachauri Communications Adviser to the Prime Minister's Office
....... Jokes apart Dr. Singh now needs to stand up and actually speak for the country and leave his darling silence ....

Raj on bihari's.... !!!

Recently raj thakrey spoke about taking out bihari's from Maharashtra...
My question to all Indians is that why is this discrimination being done to the Bihari's... ?  Is it because they are illiterate , or they are in an excessive number or they are doing all the odd jobs for us.. and why is this so...
It is easy to pass statements about people but even bihari's are human beings and should not be discriminated just because of these stupid reasons ... Did we ever took the pain of finding that why are they like this , or did we ever take the pain of improvement them... NO we didn't ... In reality every person used them but didn't bother to actually help them...
Our politicians like mayavati, lalu bihari etc all they did was kept them illiterate made them live in pathetic conditions , fooled them up with fake promises , took their sympathetic votes and then left them alike to die...
Raj thakrey is not aware that if bihari's leave Maharashtra then the working will come to a near by end ... Today bihari's are in almost all fields doing all jobs from big to small ...
Rather than reminding them he should have taken up some pains to actually investigate upon why they need to vacate and how can we help them to be educated and help our country rise .... It is an advise for such politicians who love to remain in critics because if what they say to just check upon what you say because such issues can create further many problems and can hurt the sentiments of those thousands of people out there who are doing/contributing a lot for the country ...
It is true that today the best officers and most hard working people are also the ones from Bihar and rather than criticising them our politicians must make it a point to educate them and make their life better ....

Arvind Kejriwal - the perfect leader

Arvind Kejriwal (born 16 Aug 1968) is a former Indian civil servant and is currently a social activist fighting for greater transparency in Government. He was awarded Ramon Magsaysay Award for Emergent Leadership in 2006, for activating India's Right to Information movement at grassroots and social activities to empower the poorest citizens to fight corruption by holding the government answerable to the people. Kejriwal is also a Saathi the Association for India's Development, a Global Impact award winning NGO. In 2006 after resigning from IRS,he founded an NGO Public cause Research Foundation by donating his Magasaysay award money as corpus fund.In 2010, he along with few like minded people formed India Against Corruption which aimed at enacting of strong and effective anti-corruption law in India.
Kejriwal joined Tata Steel right after his graduation from IIT Kharagpur. Kejriwal quit his job with Tata Steel in 1992 and spent some time working with Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity in Kolkata, the Ramakrishna Mission in the North-East India and Nehru Yuva Kendra.

Kejriwal joined the Indian Revenue Service in 1992 after qualifying the Civil Services Examination. In February 2006, he voluntarily resigned from the IRS as Joint Commissioner in IT Department. After voluntary resignation from job, he founded Parivartan, a Delhi based citizens’ movement which works on ensuring a just, transparent and accountable governance. In December 2006, Kejriwal along with Manish Sisodia and Abhinandan Sekhri started Public Cause Research Foundation, which works for promoting better local self governance and RTI related campaigns.

Today Mr.  Arvind Kejriwal is started to become alone in his movement against corruption...
we all know about the sacrifices this man has already made for our country...
with his recent agitation against the government when he was arrested and his member of India against corruption were badly thrashed just because they had all raised their voice against some politicians who don't deserve that seat because as per our constitution they are meant for our benefits and if found guilty then they are an insult to the entire country... because of such corrupt politicians it gives a rise to the rise of the nation as one...

so lets make it a point to help stop corruption in our own special way by raising our hands with Arvind Kejriwal in his war against corruption and support him and his political party for the development or the Rise of INDIA....

Coal gate

One scam after another ... The coal scam this time shook us all... It was very shocking when we got to know about the shaking if hands of UPA and NDA in the scam industry... It is very sad to know that our ministers whom we elect rather than benefiting us are just busy in filing their own plates .... As per a recent survey it was found that tadakka/Antonio miano has the largest amount of black money ... Now the question here arises well what will these people do with so much money ... India will  have to get over the biggest cheat, congress then improve the remaining parties so that the development for this country is made easy....
Well now getting back to coal gate ...
‘Manmohan directly responsible for irregularities in coal blocks allocation’

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has reiterated its demand for resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for his alleged role in the coal blocks allocation and a judicial inquiry by a sitting Supreme Court judge.

The party’s national secretary Ananth Kumar alleged here on Friday that the issue had exposed the double standards of the Prime Minister, the Congress and the UPA Chairperson. They had sought the resignations of A. Raja and Dayanidhi Maran of their coalition partner, DMK, when the 2G Specturm scam broke out and were using a different yardstick when it came to themselves, he said.

“How can there be a fair probe even by the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) and Public Accounts Committee (PAC) when the accused leader, the Prime Minister, is influential enough to tamper with the evidences. Mr. Singh is directly responsible for the irregularities in coal blocks allocation and he must go to allow an independent inquiry”, the BJP leader said addressing a press conference here.

On not allowing a debate in Parliament on the issue, Mr. Ananth Kumar said it was an issue of corruption and the Congress had nothing to talk except to justify or cover up its misdeed.

The BJP was ready to take the blame of stalling Parliament, as it did in case of 2G, and save Rs. 1.56 lakh-crore to the nation as the government had fixed base price of Rs. 14,000 crore each for re-auction of nine licences, even at the cost of Rs. 25 crore loss for Parliament session, he asserted.

Mr. Ananth Kumar stated that the worth of coal in 142 blocks allotted irregularly by the Prime Minister in the capacity of Coal Minister was a whopping Rs. 51 lakh-crore and the BJP was committed to carrying out the fight in and outside Parliament to save the nation’s wealth by intensifying the agitation from September 8

In this case congress is trying to prove that both Yeh parties are responsible and bjp is trying to establish a clean image .... But it would be better thaT they both get to a conclusion asap and give the country it's money back without getting or occurring further losses being caused by working the parliament , knowing that ur comperirve party won't let u...
The question is that why should we bear the loss of ur foolishness ... I stop the parliament u should pay to the people 50 lacks a day....

Hinduism

Hinduism is the predominant religion of the Indian subcontinent, and one of its indigenous religions. Hinduism includes Shaivism, Vaishnavism and Śrauta among numerous other traditions. It also includes historical groups, for example the Kapalikas. Among other practices and philosophies, Hinduism includes a wide spectrum of laws and prescriptions of "daily morality" based on karma, dharma, and societal norms. Hinduism is a conglomeration of distinct intellectual or philosophical points of view, rather than a rigid common set of beliefs....
Hinduism is formed of diverse traditions and has no single founder.
Hinduism does not have a "unified system of belief encoded in declaration of faith. but is rather an umbrella term comprising the plurality of religious phenomena originating and based on the vedic traditions. The characteristic of comprehensive tolerance to differences in belief, and Hinduism's openness, makes it difficult to define as a religion according to traditional Western conceptions.Hinduism is the traditional way of life, and because of the wide range of traditions and ideas incorporated within or covered by it, arriving at a comprehensive definition of the term is problematic. While sometimes referred to as a religion, Hinduism is more often defined as a religious tradition....
it is therefore described as both the oldest of the world's religions, and the most diverse.

Hinduism refers to a religious mainstream which evolved organically and spread over a large territory marked by significant ethnic and cultural diversity. This mainstream evolved both by innovation from within, and by assimilation of external traditions or cults into the Hindu fold. The result is an enormous variety of religious traditions, ranging from innumerable small, unsophisticated cults to major religious movements with millions of adherents spread over the entire subcontinent. The identification of Hinduism as an independent religion separate from Buddhism or Jainism consequently hinges on the affirmation of its adherents that it is such.
Hinduism is a diverse system of thought with beliefs spanning monotheism, polytheism, panentheism, pantheism, monism, and atheism among others; and its concept of God is complex and depends upon each individual and the tradition and philosophy followed. It is sometimes referred to as henotheistic (i.e., involving devotion to a single god while accepting the existence of others), but any such term is an overgeneralization.
The Rig Veda, the oldest scripture and the mainstay of Hindu philosophy does not take a restrictive view on the fundamental question of God and the creation of universe. It rather lets the individual seek and discover answers in the quest of life. Nasadiya Sukta (Creation Hymn) of the Rig Veda thus says:
Who really knows?
Who will here proclaim it?
Whence was it produced? Whence is this creation?
The gods came afterwards, with the creation of this universe.
Who then knows whence it has arisen?
Most Hindus believe that the spirit or soul — the true "self" of every person, called the ātman — is eternal.According to the monistic/pantheistic theologies of Hinduism (such as Advaita Vedanta school), this Atman is ultimately indistinct from Brahman, the supreme spirit. Hence, these schools are called non-dualist.The goal of life, according to the Advaita school, is to realize that one's ātman is identical to Brahman, the supreme soul.
